Helping out a friend
On December 12th, Chantal aka Lolli Chip's skating gear was stolen. Apart from a few irreplaceable personal item, the thief got away with 1.400 EURO worth of hard earned skating equipment. This is the thing though: Not skatig is not an option for Lolli Chop and so here's the deal:
I know three things!
1) I know her friends and relatives believe in Lolli Chop as I do, and admire her for the heart she puts into her little baby "The One Love Roller Dolls" every single day.
2) I know these girls rule like nothing has ever ruled before and I'm absolutely positive that together, we can come up with Lolli Chop's stolen €1.400.
3) I know that theif may thinks he/she's smart, but he/she will never know the awesome togetherness us skaters feel and experience. So let's turn this bad experience into a celebration of friendship.
Just click the donate button below and give whatever you can spare. You know darn well, Lolli Chop would do the same!!!
I have donates €100, which leaves 1.300 to go. What do you say...can we do this?
Love ya Lolli Chop!
Karl
ps: I'll keep you posted on the progress!

6.65 tons CO2 200% compensated during Q1, 2010
No single drop feels responsible for the flood. This drop does!
In accordance with our CO2 policy, KarlRaats.com compensated 13.3 tons of CO2 during Q1, 2010, which is twice the amount we produced as a result of doing business with our valued customers. We do this through financing CO2 mitigating projects at CompenCO2.be. CompenCO2 will use that money to support projects that:
- mitigate CO2 emissions,
- defend man and nature against the consequences of climate change.
The reason why we compensate 200% of our carbon emission is simple: when you're running a fever, the status quo is not the answer, healing is. And so we do our part in preventing climate change.
In case you're wondering, we resent the argument that we are too small an operation to make a difference. Taking up our own responsibility does not depend on other picking up theirs.
CompenCO2 has full support of the Belgian Climate Coalition.
